MLI College of Chiropractic Pediatric Diplomate Program

You can start the Diplomate program while you are in chiropractic college.  This is how; purchase the Diplomate program and take the online courses which will be of 185 credits. When you finished you then qualify to take the Hands on Program.

We only accept 16 students per class for the Diplomate program. Next open class is in the second week of June 27-July 5,2021.  Individual courses, the master certification program and our diplomate program are open to all chiropractors who are interested in furthering their chiropractic pediatric learning.

PROGRAM LOCATION

Dajabon, Dominican Republic and Ouanaminthe, Haiti

The Diplomate program begins with the 6 Day Chiropractic Pediatric Hands on Clinical Rotation. The rotation covers 5 hours of class instruction and 50 hours of hands on clinical instruction on all major components of pediatric chiropractic. This includes exam skills, spinal, cranial and Dural adjusting techniques. You will be working with real children, babies and toddlers! In 4 days, you will check and adjust more children and babies than many chiropractors see in 4 years! After the 4 days of the Hands-on Pediatric Program you will begin your post graduate teaching rounds. For 4 days you will be teaching basic chiropractic pediatrics to our chiropractic students who will join us for a chiropractic mission trip. 

The Postgraduate Teaching Apprenticeship is a work-based route into chiropractic pediatric teaching. ... You'll receive a combination of classroom teaching and hands on instruction to chiropractic students from various chiropractic colleges. 55 Hours

To maximize your hands-on experience, we accept only 16 chiropractors per class. Plus, you must have completed the MLI College of Chiropractic master’s pediatric certification program (185 hours) including passing all examinations of this program. 

On completion of the video pediatric and e book program courses you will receive a certificate from MLI College of Chiropractic Pediatric program stating you have successfully completed 185 hours of postgraduate studies in mastering chiropractic pediatrics. After completion of the 4-day Hands on Program you will have received 215 hours. You then qualify for the 2-day pediatric chiropractic teaching experience. After completing the 4-day chiropractic pediatric teaching experience you have now successfully completed 240 hours of postgraduate studies in chiropractic pediatrics.

You must participate and complete data collection projects from patients in Haiti. We want to provide an opportunity for children in rural and underserved locations to participate in state-of-the-art chiropractic research. You will need to create a research project for the college of chiropractic pediatrics.  (272 hours)

Communication skills are vital to success in chiropractic pediatrics. Communication can take many forms, such as video, speaking, phone calls, illustration, texting, email, signage, advertising, blogging, publicity and others. Doing any of these well requires good writing skills. Why? Because good writing is fundamentally good thinking that follows a logical path and is easy for someone to follow. Of course, good writing is more than logic in action. It also must touch the reader, listener or viewer emotionally. Otherwise, it won’t connect or lead to the behavior you are seeking to create.

You are required to submit an article for publication or a video of your pediatric experience in Haiti. This article and video need to express the importance for the public understanding of pediatric chiropractic. (292 hours)

Every two years, 12 hours of continuing education are required to maintain Diplomate status. We expect our graduates to achieve the role of leadership in the profession by on-going participation in advanced clinical expertise, evidence-based research and public education.

Our program comprehensively covers all aspects of pediatric chiropractic care.

Our instruction is presented with your hands-on examination, (we teach and then you examine) as well as your spinal and cranial adjusting techniques that we teach with hundreds of children. We have hundreds of children, hundreds of pregnant women and many newborns who need your chiropractic touch. 

MLI College of Chiropractic Pediatrics respects a chiropractor’s ability to critically think and to express that thinking in a publishable manner. You may choose between writing:

• A peer-reviewed research paper with acceptance for publication by a peer-reviewed journal. This paper must be relevant to pediatrics or perinatal care.

• A thesis relating to the science, art or philosophy of chiropractic pediatric care. (352 hours)

MLI college of chiropractic pediatrics recognize the value of patient education and the ability to publicly speak to the community. The Diplomate Program requires a submission of a video recorded healthcare class created and presented by you. (316 hours) This can be at your office or in Haiti or the Dominican Republic.
